Rules

Red Deer Pond Hockey believes that all children, regardless of skill level, should have the opportunity to play non-body contact hockey in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

To support the above mission statement, the league maintains a zero tolerance philosophy on body contact, intimidation and foul language.

Red Deer Pond Hockey also believes in teaching children the basic rules of the game. While it is not the intent to jeopordize the free flow of play, minor penalties will be assessed by the referees.

Icing and offsides are called in Divisions #2, #3 and #4.

Parent volunteers will referee Divisions # 1 and Division #2.
Designated referees will patrol Division #3 and Division #4

Full details will be provided by your coach on game day.

Note - Players that are registered in other hockey leagues are not allowed to join our league.  We find players that are in more than one league are not committed enough to their teams making it unfair to the players that are.
