The Red Deer Pond Hockey has launched a new web site.  Due to our huge growth over the last several years we needed to look for ways to make enrollment easier for parents and ways to reduce the workload for the volunteers who run the league.

On our new web site you will now register for our league on-line.  You will be given the choice to pay with Mastercard, Visa or by cheque. The registration process will be more convenient for parents. The entire process will take about four minutes.  A receipt will be emailed to you automatically after your payment has been confirmed.  Our on-line registration process will open on September 1st.

Security

All aspects of the online registration uses 128-bit encryption, which is the same level of security as online banking. In addition, all credit card transactions are processed live and no credit card information is ever stored on our system.

Our new site will have many other cool features as well.  One example - if we have to change the time or location of a game our new web site will automatically email the players and coaches and advise them of the change!

2009-2010 SEASON COMES TO AN END
The 2009/2010 Pond hockey season has now come to an end. New friendships were started and hopefully they will continue on next year. New skills were learned while other skills just got better. Thanks to all the coaches, refs, parents and volunteers who made this year a wonderful success. Keep checking back to this website for information on next years season. Enjoy your summer and we will see you next fall.

For the fun of it !!

Red Deer Pond Hockey is a recreational no-hit league for children between the ages of 6-17. We have one outdoor practice during the week, one indoor weekend game and two outdoor festival style tournaments after Christmas. Registration fees are kept at only $100 per player through parent help, corporate sponsorship and the one day Kinsmen Skatarama Fundraising Event in November. There are no paid staff with Red Deer Pond Hockey.

All children are welcome to play in our league regardless of size, gender, nationality, skill level or financial ability. Its all about fun. We have 30 teams spread across 4 age divisions with 442 children participating. Our weekend indoor games rotate between Red Deer and Springbrook. Outdoor practices are all in Red Deer on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. No tryouts, no standings, no tiering, no stress. Full equipment required. (we have some used equipment available for financially pinched families).

Families in need may apply for fee waiver. We want all kids to join in the fun.

With the financial backing of Home Depot and the Kaboom
organization, Red Deer Pond Hockey constructed their very own outdoor rink in 2006 adjacent to the Kinsmen South Hill Community Center. The rink is home to many memorable events and tournaments throughout the year.

We strive to keep hockey simple and affordable. All parents are expected to help out in some way with the operation of the teams and the organization of the league. This is NOT a drop and run organization. Be prepared to chip in whether is be score keeping, collecting jerseys, organizing social events, helping with tournaments, coaching, building the rink or being a referee.

We do not have an office or a phone number. If you need further details on Red Deer Pond Hockey, you may email the league at the following email address:
