FEBRUARY OUTDOOR TOURNAMENT

The February 20th tournament was a great success. The weather cooperated with us again, in fact a couple of rinks were alittle rough due to the warm temps. The fans weren’t complaining though. Everyone cheered on their favorite team and a good time was had by all.

For the fun of it !!

Red Deer Pond Hockey is a recreational no-hit league for children between the ages of 6-17. We have one outdoor practice during the week, one indoor weekend game and two outdoor festival style tournaments after Christmas. Registration fees are kept at only $100 per player through parent help, corporate sponsorship and the one day Kinsmen Skatarama Fundraising Event in November. There are no paid staff with Red Deer Pond Hockey.

All children are welcome to play in our league regardless of size, gender, nationality, skill level or financial ability. Its all about fun. We have 30 teams spread across 4 age divisions with 442 children participating. Our weekend indoor games rotate between Red Deer and Springbrook. Outdoor practices are all in Red Deer on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. No tryouts, no standings, no tiering, no stress. Full equipment required. (we have some used equipment available for financially pinched families).

Families in need may apply for fee waiver. We want all kids to join in the fun.

With the financial backing of Home Depot and the Kaboom
organization, Red Deer Pond Hockey constructed their very own outdoor rink in 2006 adjacent to the Kinsmen South Hill Community Center. The rink is home to many memorable events and tournaments throughout the year.

We strive to keep hockey simple and affordable. All parents are expected to help out in some way with the operation of the teams and the organization of the league. This is NOT a drop and run organization. Be prepared to chip in whether is be score keeping, collecting jerseys, organizing social events, helping with tournaments, coaching, building the rink or being a referee.

We do not have an office or a phone number. If you need further details on Red Deer Pond Hockey, you may email the league at the following email address:
